Learning a new language may be a nightmare for some people, while it is an interesting activity to others who is enough competent for this. I guess, everyone has some ideas about different languages of different countries. For instant we, Turkish people speak Turkish language which is written with Latin alphabet. However, there are some other languages which is spoken in the Turkey, approximately 85% of the population speak Turkish in the country. If you visit countries like Turkey where people mostly speak their national language you can easily learn it.

Unfortunately, I was always prejudice against some languages like Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic and which have not similar alphabet with Turkish. I thought those languages must be avoided. Because, I used to go to courses of reading Arabic language for read the Holy Quran whether I don't understand what I am reading. So, it made me think that Arabic is a language as difficult as I cannot learn it.

Most of the thing changed in my life since I have come to Pakistan. One of them is my perspectives against the languages. Initially, when I come to Pakistan I had two choices to maintain my life here, either I would improve my English which I had learnt with the compulsary classes in the school or I would learn Urdu language. Of course I followed my prejudice and avoided learning Urdu language which has 53 character in its alphabet and looks like Arabic. At least, Arabic has 29 characteristic. However, I regret my decision and start learning Urdu in my forth year in Pakistan.

Now the questions are ''Why I couldn't learn Urdu language since three year?'' and ''Why do I want to learn it now?'' Because, there are more than 60 languages which are spoken in Pakistan. Don't be shock about number I have heart that there are more than 200 languages which are spoken in India. This is the one factor that why I couldn't learn. While people around me speaking many language, how could I separate them like ''Okay, now she talks in Urdu, but she was talking in Sindhi before talk to that guy. Also she used some other words from Balochi.'' After sometimes I started recognizing when people changed language, even if I don't understand what they were talking about. Most of the time I felt like I am living inside of an Indian movie and forgot to open subtitle of the movie. At least I wish I could add subtitle to university part of the movie while my teachers were talking. Because I don't like to say ''I didn't get what did you explain in the class for an hour can you please explain it one more time?'' I think he will also not like it if I say this, otherwise, it is not because they will think that I am an idiot. Also, when ever I want to communicate with people, most of them directly start speaking English including Rikshaw drivers or salesmen in the bazaar except some of my teachers.

Finally I have started to learn Urdu, It is not because people, including my family say to me '' Couldn't you learn a language in three year?'' which is a polite way of intimating their real thoughts or I got jealous seeing even small children speak many languages and most of the time I was the one who knows only two languages. I decided to learn Urdu after I learnt how to write Korean language last summer. One day I was getting bored and started watching a Korean drama. I really like their language and gestures then I downloaded some apps on my phone. They really have variety of apps and all of them are very funny. Thus, I easily learn to read their language and it gave me an idea that I could learn Urdu easily by using apps. Even if, there was not that much qualify apps I didn't give up on that. After summer, I started the Urdu language course in the University and I regretted that I didn't start learning it before. Somehow, It was not easy but I really enjoy learning it. Thus, It destroyed all my prejudices against languages. Now, I am planning to learn Arabic language too.
